You may be able to immediately find the answer to your question in the list below. If you still have questions, please contact us.

How do I become an OHIMA member and what is the cost? You are automatically a member of OHIMA if you are a member of AHIMA and reside in Ohio or choose Ohio as your designated state association. Go to the AHIMA website to Join AHIMA. Or, Update Your Member Profile if you are an AHIMA member residing out of state and would like to choose Ohio as your state association.
OHIMA membership is FREE - no additional state dues apply once you are an AHIMA member. Note that you cannot just join OHIMA - you must be active AHIMA member.
How do I update my email and/or mailing address with OHIMA? Please do not send your updates to OHIMA. OHIMA uses the AHIMA member database so no separate OHIMA member database is maintained. Update Your Member Profile on AHIMA's website, and your member information will be automatically updated with OHIMA.
I am an OHIMA member but am not receiving any emails from OHIMA. Ensure that your email address is correct and that the appropriate Communication Preferences in your AHIMA Profile are checked under the 'CSA Selections' group. If everything is correct and you are still not receiving emails, your system may be blocking them and you may want to check your security settings to allow emails from ohima.org.
I am interested in local meetings, how can I become involved? Visit the Regional Association section of our website to view the associations in your area. Note that regional association membership is separate from OHIMA membership and if there is not an active association located in your region, you are encouraged to join the region of your choice.
Where can I find help if I have a professional practice issue that I need answered? The Ohio CoP is a good resource where you can post your question and find solutions from your peers. View instructions to access the CoP, a resource for members only.
AHIMA also has wonderful resources in their Body of Knowledge
Who do I contact if I am interested in volunteering on the OHIMA Board? Most Board assignments for project work are made prior to the start of the association year, extending from July 1 - June 30. A Call for Volunteers is posted on our website in April to fill the needed positions for the year. Contact Us if you are interested in volunteering, and we will keep your name for when an open slot becomes available.
OHIMA members who are interested in serving on the Data Quality & Reimbursement Council (DQRC) and Consult Roster can join at anytime during the year. Contact Julie Cowher
How can my company purchase your mailing list? We do not sell our mailing lists. If you are interested in communicating to our membership specifically for recruitment purposes, refer to the Job Bank section of our site.
If you would like to advertise via an e-Newsletter, please contact Amy Dotts, Executive Director.
